Fire is the starting and focal point of my work, I use it both as a subject and an object, as a symbol carrier of meanings and a tool for making. In relation to fire I approach the notions of growth, decay, taboos, control, transgressions, sacred, profane, personal and collective mythology, desire, passage and heritage with objects always embedded in strong narratives.
I intend to materialize the immaterial through a very material focused process and try to enhance the cathartic and almost magical aspects of the making process. I like to work with mutative materials doomed to disappear and playing with the limits of attraction and repulsion.
I aim to question the primitive and contemporary notions of ritual and adornment with jewellery pieces sometimes implying the wearer in the making and unmaking process and more sculptural pieces.
